Commonly known as a “Snap-On denture,” this removable prosthetic does not require as much jawbone density and only needs between two and five dental implants. It is held into place with a bar or ball-retained device that allows for easy removal and attachment.

The Implant Denture Process

The process of receiving dental implants is timely, but it is certainly worth the time and money spent. Although you cannot expect to receive your new and improved smile in just days, you’ll consider it a worthwhile investment once your teeth are in place.

But before you see the final result, you must complete the four-step process:

• Initial Consultation – Cline will evaluate your smile using digital imaging and a visual examination to determine if you’re a candidate for treatment. You may also need preliminary care (i.e., periodontal therapy, bone grafting) before moving forward with oral surgery.
• Dental Implant Surgery – Staying in one location, you can undergo your dental implant surgery in-house. We’ll administer anesthesia before inserting each implant post into the jawbone.
• Osseointegration – You’ll spend the next 3-6 months recovering at home and allowing osseointegration to take place. This is the fusing of the implant posts with the bone tissues to create a solid foundation.
• Final Placement of Restoration – The last step is to receive your customized denture. Once you’re fully healed, you’ll return to our office to have Dr. Cline secure your implant denture, allowing you to begin enjoying your new smile.
