Sedation Dentistry – Idaho Falls, ID
We Make Dental Visits
At Oxford Dental Care, we realize that dental visits aren’t everyone’s favorite thing to do. However, some patients avoid dental appointments out of genuine fear, meaning they do not get the care they need to have a healthy smile. Some even go years without essential dental services, causing permanent damage to their teeth. Dr. Brent Cline and the rest of our team believe in helping all patients have a positive experience in our dental office, even those with anxiety. That’s why we provide sedation dentistry for Idaho Falls, ID dental patients! If you are interested in exploring sedation options for your next dental visit, just give us a call!
Why Choose Oxford Dental Care for Sedation Dentistry?
- Multiple Sedation Options Offered
- Gentle, Caring Team of Dental Professionals
Oral Conscious Sedation Dentistry
With oral conscious sedation, we prescribe a pill in advance for the patient to take several hours before the appointment. By the time they arrive, they should feel completely relaxed and at ease. The patient will be awake and able to respond to our team, but they will likely not remember any details from the visit. Please keep in mind that the effects of oral conscious sedation can last for hours following the appointment, so you will need to have someone take you to and from our dental office and monitor you before you resume normal activities.
IV Dental Sedation
For more complex procedures or in cases of severe dental anxiety, we can use IV sedation to put you at ease while you’re in the dental chair. Delivered straight to the bloodstream, IV sedation kicks in quickly and has a powerful effect. Although this sedation doesn’t put you to sleep, you may feel comfortable enough to fall asleep during the procedure! Our highly trained team will monitor you throughout the entire appointment to ensure your safety.
